A few key points in 2 Peter I would like to share:
1. As we know Jesus better, his divine power gives us everything we need for living a Godly Life.
2. He has called us to receive his own glory and goodness
3. He has given us ALL of His rich and wonderful promises.
As we apply the benefits of these promises to our lives this will begin to happen.......
- Our faith will produce a life of moral excellence
1. Self-Control
2. Patient Endurance
3. Godliness
4. Love for other Christians
5. Genuine Love for everyone
The end result of all this growth is:
- We will become productive and useful in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ
2 Peter 1:3-8

CoachK, really good stuff and good reminders of how VERY practical the Bible is for us every day!

Thanks Meems, I have been studying out of the New Living Translation recently and just love the simplicity and clarity it brings. It has been like reading my daily instuction manual. Well, I guess that is what the Word of God is, isn't it. :)
I LOVE the NLT. Have been reading out of it for about 2 years... it brings a whole new light to very familiar scriptures. The book of Romans just comes alive in it.
